There was double delight as both senior teams picked up victories – by identical scorelines!
The 1st X1 was ‘away at the seaside’ (wrong time of year really!) visiting Saundersfoot Sports. After a goalless first half, the Nomads worked through the gears in the second period scoring 4 goals without reply. Scorers for the Nomads were Sean Hannon, Mikey Chandler (2), and Nathan Warlow (pictured below). Next week the 1st X1 is home to Hakin Utd.
Team: Patrick Hannon, Andrew Kemp, Paul Hannon, Nick Koomen, Scott Jones, Joe Charlton, Henry Durrant, Wayne Vaughan-Parry, Gary Power, Sean Hannon, Leigh Power, Mike Chandler, Nathan Warlow.
Meanwhile the 2nd X1 entertained St. Ishmaels at the Athletic Ground. A welcome visitor to the game was former player Emrys Inker from Glasgow – spending a week in his native county. In blustery and wet conditions it was the home side which dealt best with the elements and took the initiative just ten minutes after the start when Sam Laugharne struck a thunderous volley which gave the visiting keeper little chance. Sam doubled the scored midway through this first period. The second half almost replicated the first with Laugharne completing his hatrick (hopefully the first of many at senior level) and Aaron McQuillan finishing off the scoring to give the Nomads a 4-0 victory.
Team: Marlon Hutchings, Jo Durrant, Ollie Marshall, Jarred Campbell, Phil Bevan, Iestyn Cardy, Sam Laugharne, Aaron Mc Quillan, Andrew Smith, Shane Phillips, Kyle Fairburn, Ashley Hutchings, Lee Phillips, Jake William-Hague, Paul Davies.
There was a belated Halloween celebration in the club after the game!!!
