The Nomads entertained Angle on Saturday at the Athletic Club. The pitch had held up well after accommodating the under 12’s in the morning.
The home side went ahead in the 20th minute when Gary Power fired home from close range. A further 10 minutes passed before Henry Durrant leapt on to a rebound and slotted the ball past the visitor’s keeper.
The second half saw the Nomads exert constant pressure and the result was put beyond doubt when Wayne Vaughan-Parry scored the final goal of the game. This result takes the Nomads up to 3rd position in the First Division.
