Neyland 1st X1 played Narberth in the semi final of the Senior Cup on Saturday. The game was played at Monkton in front of a substantial crowd. The last time the Nomads took part in a semi in this competition they lost to Pennar Robins.
So there was a lot at stake on this occasion to ensure that history did not repeat itself. The outcome of the game was a 2-1 win for the Nomads who will now face Goodwick United in the final!

The club is hoping for ‘the town’ to lend maximum support at this final which will take place on Saturday 2 nd May at the Bridge Meadow Stadium in Haverfordwest. Please come in droves to encourage the lads in their attempt to bring the silverware of the most prestigious football competition back to Neyland. K. O. is 2.30pm and a supporters coach is being arranged!

One note of disappointment from Saturday was the fractured wrist sustained by Scott Jones which will also impact on his participation with cricket. The club wish him the speediest of recoveries!

So please don’t plan anything other than a trip to the Bridge Meadow next Saturday!!!
