So the bubble has burst! After being unbeaten this year, the Nomads were confronted bya Goodwick team determined to gain revenge for their earlier defeat at the Athletic ground. The fact that Neyland were denied a fixture last week didn’t help the cause. In truth the visitors did not play good fluid football during the first half and this was reflected in a 3-0 deficit at the break. Early in the second half, the Nomads fired the ball in to the net only for the referee to deem that it was off-side – much to the annoyance and disagreement with the visiting supporters. Things became even worse when Goodwick scored again but Neyland had the final ‘word’ with a consolation goal from it’s youngest player, Scott Jones (pictured below).

Good News! So the 2nd X1 were in the semi final of their division cup against Llangwm – played on neutral ground at Monkton. Although going behind in the first period – the score being 1-0 at half time – the lads rallied in the second period, conceding one further goal but scoring 3 in reply. Goals from Phil Bevan, Craig Harding and Andrew Smith were sufficient to take the Nomads 2nd string in to the final against Pennar Robins – the venue and date to be confirmed. Well done lads – a good evening to look forward to!
