The tenth Pembrokshire Duathalon, a 5 kilometre run, 20 km bicycle race and 2.5km started from Brunel Quay, Neyland last Sunday morning. Despite heavy rain early on some 115 people lined up on the start line and the standard of the race was said to be excellent and one of the best seen. The race was officially started by the Mayor of Neyland, Dr Simon Hancock who wished the runners well. The entrants raised £300 for PATCH plus donations of foodstuffs. The first to come in was David Cole of the Cycle Specific team with a time of 59 minutes and 52 seconds. The race organisers wish to thank Neyland Yacht Club, St John’s Ambulance and the race sponsors for what was a very successful competition.
