Emergency Defibrillator Installed at Neyland Athletic Club

After a heart attack, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces someones survival chances by 10%

Thanks to a partnership between Neyland Athletic Club, Neyland Town Council and the British Heart Foundation a new Public Access Defibrillator was installed this afternoon at Neyland Athletic Club. This means our community now has access to this lifesaving equipment 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The defibrillator is located next to the entrance of the new Gym and Changing Facility and the cabinet is easily accessed by simply twisting off the cover in the direction indicated by the arrows.

The defibrillator is designed to be extremely easy to use in an emergency and some guidance videos from the manufacturer (Zoll) are available here.

The Defibrillator is of course available to anyone in the community who requires it in an emergency and the location has also been included in the Welsh Ambulance database (so they are able to direct people to it).
Please do spread the word – we want everyone in our community to know this equipment is available.
